225 m2 living
4 bedrooms
Penthouse
One-of-a-kind penthouse measuring 225 m2, with two roof terraces (9 m2 and 78 m2), four balconies all around and two spacious storage rooms in the basement. The house is energy efficient (energy label A) and located in an absolute prime location in the Jordaan, at a short walking distance from the 9 Straatjes, Leidseplein, Vondelpark, etc.
The modern building dates from 1998 (on freehold land, so no leasehold), has a spacious lift and is perfectly maintained. It is also possible to purchase up to three parking spaces in the underground parking garage.
The penthouse is entered on the 5th floor. In the very spacious entrance hall with separate toilet, the marble mosaic floor, which has been designed by marble specialist Piastrelle in Amsterdam, immediately stands out. There are also two large built-in closets here. The spacious dining room on the left has an adjacent, spacious balcony of 3.5 m2. The hallway gives access to the living area as well as to the 6th (top) floor via a staircase.
The very spacious living room, with oak parquet flooring, is separated from the open kitchen at the rear by a double-sided stainless steel Boley fireplace. At the front side is a south-facing balcony. The round Poggenpohl kitchen with glass bar top and granite worktop is equipped with various Siemens appliances. From here, you have direct access to a roof terrace of approx. 9 m2, which, in turn, gives access to the exclusive roof terrace (78 m2) via a spiral staircase. This roof terrace spans over the entire length and entire front side (South) of the property and offers fantastic views over all of Amsterdam.
A beautiful marble staircase leads down from the kitchen to the lower level (4th) floor, boasting a spacious bedroom/study with loggia at the front, and a very spacious bathroom with underfloor heating, whirlpool bathtub, walk-in shower, washbasin and washer and dryer connections. The bathroom is finished with white glass mosaic and dark green marble. The spacious hallway with several built-in closets contains a separate toilet and provides access to a small balcony. Another outside door here opens onto the Eerste Looiersdwarsstraat, offering the possibility to use this floor as a separate apartment or home office.
From the entrance hall on the 5th floor, an internal staircase leads up to the top floor with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate toilet. The bathroom with white glass mosaic and dark red marble floor features a walk-in shower, a washbasin and a bathroom cabinet. The rear bedroom features several built-in closets. The large front bedroom gives access to the roof terrace of almost 80 m2, with unobstructed views over large parts of the city. The Owners Assocation has granted permission to create sliding doors in the bedroom and bathroom that open onto the terrace.
