409 m2 living
5 bedrooms
Upper house
Located on the stately De Lairessestraat in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid, this beautifully designed double upper house spans approx. 409 m² and offers four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a generous terrace.
Part of Huize Zonnehoek, built in 1915 and designed by architect F.
A. Warners, the property was once home to his own architecture studio. To this day, the building still reflects the distinctive features of his signature style.
A rare blend of heritage and character, finished to an exceptional standard and fully equipped with every modern comfort – right in the heart of sought-after Oud-Zuid, just a stone’s throw from the Cornelis Schuytstraat and Vondelpark.
Layout
The classical entrance hall of Huize Zonnehoek gives access to the apartment via a shared staircase or lift. In addition, the residence features its own internal lift.
The main entrance with double doors opens into an impressive reception hall. Its exceptional ceiling height and refined wall panelling create a truly elegant arrival. From here, all rooms on this floor are easily accessible.
Centrally positioned is the formal dining room, which leads to a high-end kitchen with Gaggenau appliances, double ovens, and a wine climate cabinet. A secondary kitchen, currently serving as a pantry, adjoins the living room. The living area is complete with a custom-built wall unit incorporating a fireplace and television, and features a charming bay window with a second seating area.
This floor also includes two bedrooms, a study, one bathroom, two separate WCs, and a cloakroom.
On the fourth floor, you’ll find the generous master bedroom with an expansive walk-in wardrobe and access to a private terrace of approx. 30 m², a peaceful outdoor retreat in the heart of Oud-Zuid. The adjoining bathroom includes a freestanding bathtub, a French balcony with views over the Cornelis Schuytstraat, and custom-built cabinetry. A second bathroom is also accessible from the hallway.
A particularly noteworthy feature of this floor is the optional self-contained wing, cleverly concealed behind a hidden door. This private section includes a living room with kitchenette, an additional bedroom or study, a separate WC and laundry room – ideal for an au pair, guest accommodation, or a dedicated home office.
