200 m2 living
Luxurious, well laid out and very bright penthouse with a residential area of 200 m². This stylish and entirely single-story home boasts high ceilings and includes four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two terraces allowing you to enjoy the sun all day.
This penthouse features private parking, private storage, and an elevator.
The interior has been designed in collaboration with interior design studio Studio Nest. During construction in 2020, high-quality and durable materials were used, lots of customization, steel doors, a warm gray cast floor by Senso, an extensive lighting plan for different lighting scenes, domotics, and a built-in Sonos sound system. The house is completely gas-free, has 8 solar panels for private use, underfloor heating and cooling, and is centrally located in the highly sought-after newly developed neighborhood ‘de Houthaven’. The building is designed in the architectural style of the Amsterdam School.
Spacious common entrance hall with elevator. The entrance to the apartment is on the 4th and top floor. The hallway with wardrobe and guest toilet leads into the spacious living room with open kitchen. The custom-made kitchen is equipped with composite countertops, a large kitchen island, plenty of storage space and luxury appliances such as a steam oven, microwave, dishwasher, induction stove, downdraft extractor, Quooker and Quooker Cube, a large refrigerator and a separate freezer. The ovens, induction stove and dishwasher are Smart appliances. The lovely, private roof terrace of approximately 19 m2 is directly adjacent to the kitchen and faces southwest (no neighbors). Due to the sheltered location of the terrace, it quickly reaches an enjoyable temperature.
The central hallway gives access to all (four) bedrooms, two of which are adjacent to a second roof terrace of approximately 7 m2 facing northeast, each of them with their own entrance door. Also located along the central hallway are a luxury bathroom, second toilet and a technical room with washing machine, dryer and plenty of storage space.
The master bedroom has a second luxury ensuite bathroom with bathtub and boasts a bespoke closet wall on either side, built-in speakers in the ceiling and built-in bed wall light switches to be used for light scenes, music and electric curtains. The bathrooms are finished with designer faucets and radiators (Hotbath and Zehnder) and both have a custom sink unit with composite worktop. The fourth bedroom has French doors, opening onto the southwest-facing terrace. All rooms contain beautiful neutral linen curtains and partially electric blackout curtains.
In the basement, you will find an indoor storage room of approximately 6.4 m2, a parking space with charging station and two communal bicycle sheds with facilities for charging e-bikes.
The house is located in the former (old) Houthaven, which has been transformed into a luxurious residential neighborhood surrounded by water and greenery. The neighborhood is characterized by sustainability, attractive high-rise and low-rise buildings and water as a typical Amsterdam element, very suitable for a round of SUP boarding. Also, there are several moorings in the street and there is a large decking with swimming pier at the IJ river about 50 meters from the house.
The area includes several restaurants, a theater, a luxury hotel, schools and childcare. The popular Westerpark and the cozy Spaarndammerbuurt are within walking distance. The accessibility and connection to public transportation are very good, the ferry to Amsterdam Noord stops at the Pontsteiger and Central Station is only a 10-minute bike ride away. By car, there is a direct connection to the A10 (ring road) and several other highways.
